Job Title: Director of Human Resources

Job Mission:

The mission of the ABODA Office of Human Resources is to support the Management and Employees of ABODA to foster excellence, productivity, and fairness to create an inclusive work environment. To articulate a mission and common vision that helps us define our purpose and direction and strengthen our ability to attract, develop and retain an excellent work force.

Typical Tasks:

Design and implement processes and procedures that correspond to the organization’s vision
Recruit, develop and maintain a client-focused, service-oriented work force
Pursue quality in the development and implementation of human resources practices to the point where we become a world-class leader in the field of human resources
Serve as a resource to employees in supporting them to make informed decisions regarding work and life issues
Consult with department managers and supervisors in the management of human resources
Open organization in terms of sharing information with each other and clients while respecting the need for confidentiality
Maintain an active role as a member of ABODA’s Senior Management Team.
Take a leading role in maintaining ABODA’s community service initiatives.
Actively negotiate, acquire best value employee benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental insurance, 401K and other related company perks
Maintain in place and continually develop employee rewards and recognition programs
Enhance and monitor 30 day, 90 day and Anniversary Performance Reviews.
Work with outside legal team on sensitive employee related issues.
Track HR stats such as retention, tenure, industry employee salary comparisons and other related best practices HR data
Maintain employee files in a safe and secure environment within HIPPA requirements and conform to both federal and state guidelines
Oversee company wide training and safety programs.
Enhance and maintain company handbook.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Required:

Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally with subordinates, peers and superiors
Experienced in developing, coordinating, maintaining, training and employee growth programs
Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with the public and other employees
Understand employee relationship law and apply effectively
Develop ongoing recruitment and retention programs
Deliver professional and effective presentations that improve team leadership skills
Make good judgments and work well under pressure in diverse environments, with diverse populations
Able to set and maintain quality service standards that drive the organizational vision
Experience in evaluating employee performance
Analyzing and designing jobs, job descriptions and specifications
Developing a positive, motivating organizational climate
Managing change and conflict
Skilled in employee discipline intervention and interviews
Work well with and support senior management team.

Experience Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field, Masters Degree preferred
Experience: Five to ten years of Human Resource Management experience or equally pertinent experience
