Bellevue Chamber celebrates entrepreneurial spirit at Eastside Business Awards Luncheon

Winners announced at ceremony on Wednesday, May 24

Outstanding businesses on the Eastside that uphold a strong commitment to quality, community and innovation will be recognized at the upcoming Bellevue Chamber of Commerce Eastside Business Awards luncheon.

Finalist and winners in each of the six award categories will be recognized during a special luncheon on May 24, 2006 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Meydenbauer Center, located at 11100 NE 6th Street in Bellevue. Thirty-year business veteran, co-founder and co-president of Olympic Hot Tub Company, Alice Cunningham, will deliver the keynote address at the luncheon. Cunningham will share her experiences, challenges, and best tips for business success. Her story will motivate and cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit that is at the heart of the Eastside Business Awards.

¨ Impact/Non-profit: Eastside Domestic Violence Program; Overlake Hospital Medical Center; Youth Eastside Services

¨ Celebrating Diversity: ABODA; CH2M HILL; KeyBank

¨ Corporate Citizenship: Evergreen Healthcare; Kemper Development Company; Symetra Financial.

Any business located on the Eastside was eligible to compete for an award in six categories. Businesses submitted applications based on category guidelines and were judged by an independent panel of regional business leaders.
