THE 2003 REDMOND BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS
February 9, 2004 - Redmond, WA - Northwest Suites & Housing Services was honored as the Business of the Year in the 2003 in the 2003 Redmond Business Excellence Awards competition, President Dave Caple announced today.
Each year, the award is granted to a business that either brought new jobs through expansion or took extraordinary measures to retain jobs in Redmond; or supported employees' collective actions to make significant improvements within the community.
The award for Northwest Suites & Housing Services was announced at the February 7 annual gala and auction at the Sahalee Country Club.
In 2003, Northwest Suites & Housing Services continued to grow and diversify its services in a soft economy. They added a real estate division called Northwest homes, expanded service into California markets, and continued to develop Suite Furnishings as a player in the furniture rental market. Northwest Suites has been a member of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce since 1988.
Award candidates submitted a written entry and participated in an interview to provide the judging committee with detailed information on their companies, policies, community service efforts, and business practices.
