ABODA DEBUTS NEW RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT DIVISION TO ITS SUITE OF CORPORATE RELOCATION AND CORPORATE HOUSING SERVICES
Clients with Rental Properties and Vacant Properties Can Now Rely on ABODA to Take Care of Their Business So They Don't Have To
(October 12, 2006 - Redmond, WA)- ABODA has launched a new property management division to add to its suite of corporate relocation and housing services, President and CEO Dave Caple announced today. This new division will provide residential property management, leasing coordination and fulfillment, vacant interim property management, ongoing maintenance management, and tenant management.
"Over the years, we have been approached day-to-day by our clients with requests to offer these kinds of services. Rather than continue to refer this business to other companies, we have taken these services on. It's a natural extension of what we already do as a corporate housing provider," Caple said. Lisa Walls has joined ABODA to oversee the property management division. She brings rich career experience in residential property management and furniture rental to her newly created role within the company. She has also worked closely with a number of ABODA employees through the years in prior positions. "We know Lisa will be a great fit for our company and culture," Caple said.
Caple says that the property management model can expand as demand for services escalates and that this service offering may be extended to its other corporate divisions across the nation as the Pacific Northwest property management division takes shape.
ABODA has served as the preferred vendor to Microsoft in serving the relocation needs of its employees for over 20 years. "Working with this upscale population of employees, we've learn a lot about the kinds of services we need to provide to meet their ever-expanding needs," Caple said. "It is not uncommon for many of our clients to own rental properties. We've always made it our practice to anticipate the needs of employees at every step in the relocation process, and now that means being able to serve their property management needs, whatever they may be."
Caple said that a lot of people want to invest in real estate, but they don't want the headaches of being a landlord because it is time-consuming and has a fair amount of aggravation associated with it. "With the suite of services offered via the company's new property management division, property owners can invest in real estate and not deal with the dirty work," Caple explained. The various services within the new division are described as follows:
Residential Property Management: If a property owner wants to put a property for rent, he can turn it over to ABODA. ABODA will find a tenant, manage the rent payments and processing, handle maintenance issues, and provide consolidated monthly billing. The net result is taking the headache away for the homeowner.
Leasing Coordination and Fulfillment: If someone wants to deal with tenants and maintenance, ABODA can help market the property, do advertising, show property, and fill the unit.
Vacant Interim Property Management: For those corporate clients that send clients overseas for a period of a year or more, ABODA will be the owner's eyes and ears and manage vacant properties and watch over them while the owners are away.
On-going Maintenance Management: ABODA deals with tenants, maintenance issues, and accomplishes the work required so the owner doesn't have to.
Tenant Management: ABODA coordinates with tenants to accomplish required maintenance.
