Awards Banquet Takes Place October 2, 2002 at the Westin

July 2, 2002 - Redmond, WA - Brenda Handley, CEO and president of Northwest Suites Inc., has been named to one of five finalist positions in the 2002 Nellie Cashman Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Competition, hosted by the Woman Business Owners, a Seattle-area professional organization. This competition recognizes outstanding women business owners who distinguish themselves as leaders and contributors to the community.

Candidates are judged based on their entrepreneurial spirit, their ethics and community spirit, their financial and management skill, and the difficulty and risk they have endured to achieve their success.

An awards banquet is planned for October 2, 2002, to take place at the Westin Hotel, to acknowledge Handley's accomplishments, along with the achievements of the four other award finalists. This winner will be named at the banquet. Over 300 people are expected to attend, WBO organizers report.
